Collection: Hand painted mugs

These mugs were hand painted with underglaze and then woodfired to approximately 2350 degrees F.  A bit of flashing slip and/or glaze was applied to the outsides of these mugs, giving them a mostly bare clay look that interacted with the flames of the kiln.  The handles and insides of the mugs were glazed with shinos to provide some toasty warm earth tones.
